These nibblets of joy are perfect for any party table. Everyone loves strawberries and cream. This is one more way to serve it! A friend introduced these to me and said, “I ate about 10 of them in one sitting and was sad when none were left over after my party!” I would have to agree! They are absolutely lovely and a burst of strawberries and cream in your mouth. When you are sipping on a cup of Paris tea sitting out on your porch, enjoy these delightful fruits! (I know I don’t get to do that much either, but we can always dream!)

This recipe is best to make at the serving site. I tried to make them at home, then carry them to a party. The strawberries fell over, and frosting got everywhere. They were delicious but not very pretty. They were still a huge hit! When I am traveling somewhere, I make the trifle below. Same great flavor, easier travel!
1 8-ounce block cream or mascarpone cheese
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pint strawberries
A block of chocolate or chocolate sprinkles (garnish)
Wash and slice the tops of the strawberries off. In a bowl, cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add the vanilla. Cut the strawberries from the tips to 1/3 from the bottom. Place on the serving platter. With a large plastic bag in a glass measuring cup, scoop the cream cheese frosting into the large plastic bag. Squeeze the frosting towards one corner, and clip a small part off the bottom of the corner. (You are making a piping bag. If you have a piping set, use the large piping tip.) Then pipe the frosting into the middle of the strawberries. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chocolate sprinkles.
Stuffed Strawberry Trifle
2 pints of strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1 round angel food cake
2 (8 ounces) blocks cream or mascarpone cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 ( tub) of Cool Whip
1 cup chocolate chips
Wash and slice all but two of the strawberries and combine them with the sugar in a bowl. Set aside Slice the angel food cake about 1 cm thick. With an electric mixer, cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Then slowly fold in 2/3s of the Cool Whip and set aside.
In a trifle bowl, *lay down enough angel food cake to cover the bottom of the bowl. Generously place the strawberry slices with some of the juice over the angle food cake. Then spread ½ of the cream cheese mixture over the top. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of chocolate chips on top.* Repeat from * to *. Place angel food cake to fit. Spread the remaining cool whip on top. Slice the two remaining strawberries and arrange in a pretty fashion on top. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/3 cup of the chocolate chips.
