This is the ultimate brownie. Every time I make them friends seems to be around. And it never fails, we always make them another time, ether the very next day, or the next time we see each other. The ultimate brownie. I know stating that fact might get some people’s disagreements, but I have eaten brownies all my life, and these are my absolute favorite. Plus they are so versatile. I have not tried this, but I am pretty sure one can even swirl cream cheese mixed with some confectioner’s sugar and have your cream cheese brownies. Add what you like to them. But the below combination is my favorite.
Women, this will cure any chocolate craving or hormone induced Aunt Irma syndrome. Add milk, Bailey’s, and/or Weeds (TV show I am addicted to), and life will look better.
So without much further adieu…
Slightly adapted from Allrecipes.com

¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
(1 split vanilla bean, optional)
¾ cup flour
½ cup unsweetened dark cocoa
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped white chocolate
½ cup chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×9 pan with cooking spray. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add the eggs and vanilla extract (and vanilla “seeds” if using). In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, and salt together. Add to the wet ingredients. Mix until fully incorporated. Add the additions. Pour into the 9×9 pan. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Makes 9 small brownies or enough to feed 2 women with hormones raging.
