Yarn Along 17

I have been in the mood to cast on everything. 😉 I decided to try the Harvest cardigan for the Simple Collection of Tin Can Knits. It is knit top down and seamless. I used some deep stash yarn from a pre-Ravelry project.

Books on the Nightstand recommend the author of The Wife, The Maid, and The Mistress.  I requested it from my library, and they received it.  They have been quite awesome in getting requested books.  I requested several, and they received all of them.  Of course, I was not able to get all three books at the same time and read them, but I am hoping they will still be at the library when I go visit them tomorrow.

The Wife, the Maid, and the Mistress is a mystery (I think a murder mystery).  The writing is descriptive and engaging.  The author keeps me questioning who did the deed and what the circumstances involved.  One problem I have with the book is, the dates jump around, and I usually have to look back to the last date described in order to figure out where it ties in with the timeline, before or after a character goes missing.  The dates are written in small letters just before the flashbacks (and sometimes not when one goes forward). This might be something the editor and publishing company could have remedied, but still  it bothers me a bit.  I am about half way through the book and still have no idea who killed the victim. I recommend it (with post-it flags). 🙂

Joining Ginny.  What have you been reading and knitting?
